FAQ
Every question we get asked
How much does a private jet charter cost?
Depends on the category and the hours. Today's all-in market rates run from roughly $8,600 per flight hour for a super-midsize jet to about $16,700 for an ultra-long-range aircraft, before taxes. A one-way heavy jet Houston to London is typically $90,000–$130,000. Every route page shows a live estimate; the quote form prices any pair of airports in the world.
How fast will I get a firm quote?
Within the hour on business days, usually with two aircraft options and a named operator. Evenings and weekends the desk is still answered; a firm quote may take a little longer because operators have to confirm crew.
Who actually operates the flight?
An FAA Part 135 (or Part 121) certificated carrier that we have vetted, named to you before you accept. ENG Aviation Group arranges the flight as an air charter broker, and is itself a Part 135 operator with its own Citation Excel fleet. See our broker disclosure.
Why use a broker that is also an operator?
Because we read the carrier's certificate, training records and audit the way our own are read. We also know what a trip costs to run, so our estimates are close and our quotes do not grow after you accept.
Is the instant estimate the price I will pay?
It is a market indication from distance, category and live wholesale rates, deliberately shown as a range. The firm quote replaces it within the hour. On most routes the firm price lands inside the range.
What is included in the quote?
Aircraft, crew, fuel, standard positioning, landing and handling. Shown separately and passed through at cost: catering, ground transport, de-icing, international permits and handling. Government taxes and fees are itemised where they apply to you.
Do I pay federal excise tax?
Retail clients flying within the United States pay 7.5% FET plus a per-passenger segment fee on the air transportation price. International itineraries pay a per-passenger head tax and US customs, immigration and APHIS fees instead. If you are a broker or travel company reselling the trip, you collect those from your passenger and we quote wholesale.
Can I bring pets?
On most aircraft, yes, in the cabin. International destinations have their own animal import rules, which we check for you.
What if my plans change?
Cancellation terms are stated on every quote and follow the operating carrier's policy, typically 50% inside 72 hours and 100% inside 48 hours or no-show. Date changes before that window are usually free if the aircraft is available.
How do I pay?
A credit card hold secures the aircraft; before departure we need card authorisation or a wire. Payment by check, wire or ACH carries a 5% discount on our own quotes. Corporate accounts and jet-card style prepaid hours are available for regular flyers.
Can you fly me on your own aircraft instead?
If the trip fits a midsize jet, often yes, and we will say so because it is usually the sharpest price. ENG operates three Citation Excels based in Texas flying coast to coast.
